About this adventure
Very close to the city, in the upper part of Envigado, lies a beautiful trail surrounded by forests and flowing water.
On this adventure, we’ll visit two waterfalls in the Arenales area of Envigado: El Silencio and Chorro Campanas, hiking through exposed roots, pine forests, and native woodland.
⬜ MEETING TIME: 7:00 a.m.
(Buses run every hour, so please arrive on time).
✔️ MEETING POINT: Envigado Metro Station, south exit, on the Sofasa side. From there, we’ll take a bus to the Arenales area.

Difficulty: 3.2 / 5 (with 5 being the most difficult)
Distance: approximately 10 km
Terrain: some short sections involve very steep and slippery descents.

- 👘 Wear comfortable clothing for hiking and shoes with good grip.

- 🩱 Bring swimwear to enjoy the waterfalls and natural pools.
- 🥵 Take it easy. We keep a group pace, so there’s no need to rush — enjoy the journey.
- 👞 Bring water shoes. We’ll spend approximately 45 minutes descending along the river, so our feet will get wet.
- 💧 Bring enough water to stay hydrated.
- 🥖 Bring snacks for the trail and lunch.
- 🌧️ Bring a rain jacket in case it rains.
- 💳 Make sure your Cívica card is topped up for public transportation.
